Athletics

Boys enter at the end of each year in at least two events for the next year on an entry form. During the second week of the 1st term we have shorter school days in order to run heats on Monday to Thursday afternoon before other summer sports practices start.  Read more…


Basketball

Basketball is one of the fastest growing school sports in South Africa. SACS has two outdoor courts currrently and enters eight teams into the league. These games normally take place on Wednesday afternoons. Read more…

Mountain Biking

SACS cycling has grown tremendously in recent years, expanding to include various divisions with riders competing across indoor track, road, downhill, enduro, and gravel. Once a social winter sport, it’s now a primary summer sport.  Read more…

Sailing

Sailing is offered as a sport at SACS, with students joining various clubs around Cape Town. Many sail their own boats, including Dabchicks, 420s, and Lasers, and compete in local and national events. Students also have the opportunity to sail in keel boats in and around Table Bay. Read more…

Swimming is a primary sport at SACS. Many of our strong swimmers are also water polo players and as a result both clubs work closely with each other. Read more…
